Our Process

  • Well-executed site analysis forms the essential foundation for a logical approach to development. Discovering the physical constraints & opportunities of a site, learning the historical & cultural context, and understanding the stakeholder’s desires allows us to see the big picture, and take a holistic approach to design.

  • The Valley Quest Team works to support city staff and help to ensure the community feels its voice is being heard by gathering additional information from interested stakeholders. Public participation formats can include surveys, public presentations, workshops, design charrettes, focus groups, and interviews.

  • With all the puzzle pieces out of the box, the project team will develop the framework for the design concept. Throughout the development process Valley Quest will work closely with the client on refining the design, taking into account cost & program elements, ultimately producing an attractive, well-balanced plan.

  • The key to ensuring excellence in what is delivered is maintaining a consistent system of checks & cross-checks when producing plans and documents. At a minimum, the firm principals never allow a document to be sent out without another checking it first

  • Although a schedule is subject to change, it must be created & available to all parties, as it will be the road map that is used to get to a completed master plan. The schedule will likely be generated on a cloud-based format and will be updated over time for accuracy in time management.

  • The Valley Quest Team will engage the client at every milestone to provide updates on progress, maintain timely communication between milestones, check in on any client decisions, and get client direction on the design when necessary.

  • In today’s volatile market, where construction costs continue to rise, having an experience estimator, or in this case, a CMAR, is crucial. Valley Quest normally enlists the help of, a licensed professional construction cost estimator, local to the North Texas region when investigating probable costs. However, in this instance, the CMAR may share that responsibility as the plans are developed.

“The team at Valley Quest Design is amazing. Their work and attention to detail shows that they truly love what they do. Grace Like Rain is truly grateful for the time and passion that VQD has poured into our future Love First project.”
